MODx: Search and Replace with Doc Finder 1.2
back to overview 2 Comments by Bogdan
Finally, I was able to finish and publish my MODx-module Doc Finder as version 1.2. Besides the eliminated errors, the new main feature is a replace function. Now you can use Doc Finder to search and replace texts in all documents and template variables in a quick and uncomplicated manner.
The replace function should be used with care, as a thoughtless use could turn the contents of a MODx website into a mumbo-jumbo text in the twinkling of an eye. If you decide to replace all “k” with “c”, you can subsequently start looking for a good corrector. This is why - and not only because of the new replace function in Doc Finder - you should regularly make backups of the database, which is only a matter of seconds - thanks to the easy backup function in the manager.
I am looking forward to feedback and helpful suggestions for future versions of Doc Finder.

Well done on such a great and huge time save module. It would be great if you add the ability to search in the chunks as well.
Once again, its simply fantastic module!! :D
Take care.
